# Facet Controls

If you're running an online store and want to control how customers _filter_ your products, **Facet Controls** are rules that give you the power to:

- **Ignore** facet values on a search or collection page
- **Replace** facet values on a search or collection page
- **Remove** a facet from a search or collection page
- **Force Return** a facet's position on a search or collection page
- **Merge** multiple facets into a single facet
- **Rerank** [dynamic facets](/google-cloud-vertex-ai-search-for-commerce/dynamic-facets) based on selected values
