# Serving Configurations

## Default Setup

Google Cloud's Discovery AI for Retail offers two types of serving configrations, **Search and Browse** and **Recommendations AI**. Each new Google Cloud catalog project contains two default configurations, one for each type:

## Search and Browse

Retail Cloud Connect™ uses the _default_search_ serving configuration for both search and category pages.

## Recommendations AI

Each Recommendations AI model can be associated with one serving configuration, but you can apply multiple [Serving Controls](/google-cloud-vertex-ai-search-for-commerce/serving-controls).
