# Serving Search Results

Retail Cloud Connect enables major ecommerce platforms to return search results from Google Cloud's Vertex AI Search for retail.

When a user types in a keyword or phrase into your search bar, Google Cloud will return search results sorted by relevance and revenue maximization. It uses hundreds of data points to sort search results based on relevance, popularity, and personalization - ultimately positioning products with the highest likelihood of being bought.

By default, a reasonable number of results ordered by relevance is returned, but the AI models will continue to optimize this over time.

Retail Cloud Connect is built to never cache personalized user results, ensuring personalized results aren't delivered to a different end user.

# Testing Search Results

To preview search results and confirm your settings are working as expected, you can use the Evaluate tab in the Google Cloud Retail console.
