Shopify Category Enrichment

Category Enrichment (Beta) monitors category coverage and controls AI category resolver behavior for products missing a valid category.

Use this page when:

• The billing plan includes enrichment
• The store has many primary products without categories
• Retail Cloud Connect should resolve missing categories before catalog import

Coverage Metrics

The page shows:

• Primary products
• Primaries with category
• Primaries needing category

Use these numbers to decide whether the resolver is worth enabling and to track progress after imports.

Category Resolver

The Enable category resolver switch saves an explicit shop setting. That setting can override the billing-plan default for the resolver.

The resolver may still be unavailable when enrichment is disabled by environment configuration or when the store is not entitled to enrichment.

When Changes Take Effect

Category enrichment affects imported catalog data. Save the setting, then run or wait for the next catalog import before expecting category changes in Google Cloud or storefront results.
