Location filters
Filter collections by store location
Most local inventory tools show stock on the product page. That helps after a shopper finds a product, but it does not help them browse everything available at their store.
Retail Cloud Connect adds store location filters to collection and search pages. Shoppers select a store, filter by pickup availability, and browse products they can get nearby.
Pickup availability
Show in-store pickup availability before checkout
Shoppers can check local availability while they browse. The selected Shopify location is also sent with search and collection requests so Google can use it when ranking results.
Search pages
Let shoppers filter search results by what is available at their selected store.
Collection pages
Add location filters to any collection so shoppers can browse nearby inventory.
Availability and ranking
Use the selected store when filtering and ranking results.
Location names
Use customer-friendly location names
Select the Shopify locations you want to show, then give each one a storefront label. “Warehouse 03” can become “Downtown Austin.” If you leave the label blank, shoppers see “Local Store.”
- Custom display label for each selected location
- Pick up in store, ship to store, same-day, and next-day filters
- Inventory updates kept in sync after launch

Frequently asked questions
Local Inventory FAQs
Where does the Local Inventory filter appear?
It works on both search results and collection pages, so shoppers can narrow any product list to the fulfillment options available at their selected store.
Can each location have a customer-friendly name?
Yes. You can give every selected Shopify location its own storefront label, such as South Congress, Downtown, or Oakbrook Center. If no custom label is set, the filter uses Local Store.
Does local inventory affect search ranking?
Yes. The selected location is sent with search and collection requests, so Google can use local availability when filtering and ranking results.
Which fulfillment options can shoppers filter by?
The filter supports pick up in store, ship to store, same-day delivery, and next-day delivery when those options are returned for the active location.
